Jedburgh Castle Gaol

Jedburgh Castle Gaol was built
in 1820 on the site of the original Jethart Castle. The original Castle
was destroyed in 1409 in a bid to prevent English Occupation. The Gaol
functioned for approximately forty years before being closed due to unsanitary
conditions and the fact that it was riddled with damp. To find out more

The photo below was taken at Jedburgh
Castle Gaol on October 9th 2004. As is fairly obvious this cell is set out
as a display showing the conditions female prisoners were incarcerated in.
I saw this orb on the camera viewfinder as soon as I had taken the photo
therefore, I took four more but nothing was showing on the others.
The
picture below was taken on the same day as the one above. As you can see
there is an orb in the distance at the far end of the corridor.
